OLYMPIA VITALIS
Olympia Vitalis is a West-London-based soul singer, building her name through her unique vocal style and distinctive songwriting. Having sung in a gospel choir for seven years, Olympia has developed her style by drawing inspiration from improvisation and jazz vocal techniques. This unique voice is channelled into her lyrics, focusing on subjects close to her heart and revolving around social, cultural and personal issues. Often poking fun at the fact that she doesn't write many love songs, Olympia prefers to talk about powerful issues, told in subtle ways using her distinctive vocals and multi-instrumental talents.
Olympia has garnered support from BBC Introducing and Voices Radio and was hailed a 'standout artist' by NeoMusic Group. She was chosen as a recipient of a Women in Jazz fund, which assists the development of emerging jazz musicians, most prominently performing at the London Jazz Festival at the end of 2023. Her latest singles "Curls" and "Mardy" have been featured in major streaming playlists. She has been notably featured on the cover of Fresh Finds UK on Spotify and has been featured on Spotify's New Music Friday UK, Fresh Finds R&B, UK Jazz and Apple Music's Brown Sugar, among many others.
Olympia recently opened for acclaimed jazz artist Kiefer on tour across the UK. Performing to audiences across Manchester, Bristol, and Glasgow, and closing with an impressive show at London's Islington Assembly Hall.
